The Arbors of Creekwood Homeowners Association, Inc.
PO Box 1110
Mansfield, Texas 76063
May 2010
Hello to all,
I hope the Spring has been good to you and your family. Before I begin, let me say happy Mothers Day to all our mothers in the Arbors.
As most of you know, the HOA has been looking for a resolution to the Pavestone sidewalk situation for the last several years. If you have been to any of the meetings you know that there have been detailed disscussions on this matter. It is my foremost goal as your HOA President to have a final resolution to this matter under my watch. It is my belief that we have only two options: 1) Sue the City of Mansfield to try to get them to pay for the repairs or; 2) We come to an agreement as a community to repair the Pavestone sidewalks ourselves. At this moment, I am not advocating either. However, I feel it is time to end the discussions and start acting. Either way, I believe we need to vote as a community as to which option the board members should pursue. Over the next few board meetings we will devote most of our time and energy to this matter and I am encouraging everyone of you to try to attend these meetings. If you cannot attend, feel free to e-mail me your comments regarding this matter and I will take them to the meetings. If I feel the need to call a special meeting to open the floor for discussion I will do so. As you know, we usually meet at one of the Board members' house. Nevertheless, if we know a large group plans to attend, we will locate a facility to accommodate everyone.
I look forward to a great Spring in the Arbors.

Timely Tip for May Gardeners
from Calloway’s Nursery
Perennials are becoming more important to gardeners because of their staying power. They are plants you set out once, yet they return year after year for your enjoyment. Perennials are often those plants that can be divided, shared and passed on from generation to generation.
They do best when they are incorporated into the landscape with other plants. While shrubs provide the backbone to your beds, perennials will contribute color at certain times of the year. Mixing groupings of the same type of perennials will give your landscape a nice splash of color. Most often, perennials die back in the Winter and emerge again in the Spring.
You can also use perennials in a “cutting garden.” Plant a few evergreen shrubs for interest but allow most of the bed for perennials. Select varieties that will bloom at different times of the year so something will always be in bloom. The charm of a “cutting garden” is the fact that it changes month by month, bringing new blooms to enjoy.
We will be hosting a free clinic in every store on Monrovia® Perennials on Saturday, May 22nd at 10:15 am. Join us to learn more about gardening with perennials! Click here for a complete list of our FREE in-store clinics.
